Effect of Rare Earth Ce on the Morphology and Distribution of Al<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> Inclusions in High Strength IF Steel Containing Phosphorus during Continuous Casting and Rolling Process

This paper analyzes the control of Al2O3 inclusions in high strength IF steel containing phosphorus. The inclusion statistics and two-dimensional morphology samples with slab thickness 1/8, 1/2 7/8, hot rolling, cold rolling continuous annealing processes were observed compared by ASPEX SEM. In addition, three-dimensional extracted from electrolysis original process compared. results show that: When rare earth Ce is added to steel, combination activity O S has lower Gibbs free energy, it easy generate CeAlO3, Ce2O2S, Ce2O3, composite combined other inclusions. concentration supersaturation aluminum oxygen are reduced, ability single particle aggregate into large-scale cluster reduced. average size decreased 5–7 µm 2–5 each direction. changed long strip, sharp angle spherical, spindle round surface. Meanwhile, number density increase, but area decreases during casting process. without addition mostly strip shape, crushed rolling,resulting quality defects on exposed surface causing stamping crack problem. change small-sized circular dispersion distribution. modulus elasticity close that matrix, which will not affect continuity structure, beneficial relevant properties product.
